ews asio

hi.
this is my first message in this forum and i have this question:
when i use my ews64 to record while im playing something: e.g. i play the sampler via midi and record something viva rec2 in, the whole syncronisations is lost. i tried everything:bios configuration, newest asio and system drivers for the ews, a new installed win98, different asio and card settings(latency), i even put my card into a friends computer that also has a ews64(in his it works).i read about another user, that had the same problems. i have an nmc mainboard with intecl bx440i chipset, a ela erasor 3 video card, 128 mb of ram. and a isa network card (but it doesn't change anything to remove it)
interesting fact: when i came back with the card from my friend, and we reentered the system internal settings of the card, it worked propperly.where can i get a new version of ews64cfg.exe? i don't want to buy another soundcard, just to record my ews64.
iby the way:i use it on cubase vst/32 5.0
i hope someone can help me. i don't know any further

I hear from other users that the Asio drivers for the EWS are not really a success. So maybe you should try without them.
Maybe those 'other users' have more info for you here...

On my Pc the ASIO driver doesn`t work, but you can take the buffer space lower and get a lower latency.
You can test wit?h it in the audio sound configuration.
In my reason, the system says that is everything ok, but the card sometimes turn off.
I`ve gave the card more space with a little more latency and it works more stablish.
